Gombe Stream National Park is the smallest national park in Tanzania. This makes it a cozy spot for safari, honeymoon and soul searching journeys. It is remote but equally mesmerizing and enchanting little wild kingdom that makes it distinctive and exceptional. It is the best place for researching endangered chimpanzee and primates. Jane Goodall has made Gombe her home to study and research and she as a resident primatologist is one of the reason that has made Gombe its mark on the map. Gombe offers not only primate viewing and studies but also hiking, swimming, snorkeling like activities that are all the rage here. The park is spread with over 200 bird species and bush pigs. You can also find many species of snakes, and occasional hippopotami and leopards, and small antelopes in addition to an extensive selection of tropical birdlife and almost 100 kinds of colorful cichlid fish.
